The UMKC/MAHI Medical Informatic Project is multi-disciplinary and draws on resources and expertise from the Faculties of Computer Science in University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) and Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) at Saint Luke's Hospital . It incorporates significant clinical and technological resources to design and implement a range of projects in the field of Medical Informatics. Medical Informatics is a rapidly developing scientific field which deals with biomedical information, data and knowledge, their storage, retrieval, and optimal use for decision making, diagnosis and treatment of patient illnesses.
